What is Your Favorite Children’s Book?

Children might insist upon hearing the same books over and over at bedtime, but that shouldn’t stop you from varying up the choices. Who knows, one of the books you add into the mix could be your child’s new favorite! Huffington Post Parents recently published 50 of the Best Kids Books Published in the Last 25 Years and there are some amazing options on this list.

Some of the top 50 books outlined in the feature include the famous Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Oh the Places You’ll Go, The Rainbow Fish, Noisy Nora, There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly, Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type, Lullaby Moon.

We asked Tom (SRCC Director) what his favorite was and he said…(drumroll please)…There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly! “Some of my fondest memories as a child were reading these stories with my father. We used to sing There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly! very quickly and would often try and see who could sing it the fastest without making a mistake.,” Tom said about his favorite.
