Elliot Pegg will be returning as the Director of Tennis for the 2019 club program at Southampton Racquet Club for his 5th year. Elliot is a graduate of Oxford Brookes University, UK, and an accomplished player and Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) certified coach. His tennis background in the UK includes 5 years with David Lloyd Leisure in Ringwood and Oxford, as well as tennis camp experience in the US with Nike Tennis Camps and Carmel Valley Tennis Camp.
Elliot joined Cliff Drysdale Tennis in 2012 and worked at several award-winning resorts, clubs and camps (Stratton Mountain, VT, Red Ledges Club, UT and Amelia Island, FL) before taking on the Director position at Southampton in 2015.
Gabriella will be returning for her third summer at SCC managing the Tennis Pro Shop. She is currently in her sophomore year at Suffolk County Community College majoring in graphic design. Gabriella has a true passion for tennis and uses her experience in graphic design to promote the club using the different channels of social media!
She loves to jump into the morning tennis matches and spends her free time with her two rescue dogs at the beach, reading a good book, taking photos/designing or of course playing tennis!!
Alisa was born and raised in Donetsk, Eastern Ukraine. Before she moved to USA, she was training in Ukraine, traveling the world playing ITF and WTA tournaments. When she was 18, she received a full scholarship to play tennis at Oklahoma State University. During Alisa’s 4 years at OSU, she played #1 singles and #1 doubles in the team and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a Master’s in International Trade.
In May 2012, Alisa pursued her tennis career relocating from Oklahoma to Miami. Alisa began working as a Tennis Professional and Assistant Director for Cliff Drysdale Management at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, FL, where she gained a lot of experience in coaching and tennis operations. Alisa was promoted to a Director of Tennis position at Indian Creek Country Club, Indian Creek Village, FL in October 2014. During the off-peak season at ICCC, Alisa is excited to rejoin our club and be a part of our teaching staff for her third summer.
Andrej is originally from Belgrade, Serbia and has been practicing tennis since he was 9 years old. He has competed in all international junior categories (ETA and ITF) and achieved top 10 national rankings. Andrej is currently a junior at Alabama State University and he is also a member of the tennis team, Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and the Honors program.
The summer of 2019 will be Andrej’s second year at the Southampton Racquet Club after a very successful 2018 season.
Luke currently competes at the Division II collegiate level in the US. Growing up in Auckland, New Zealand, Luke pursued college tennis as a way to continue his passion in the USA, and have a change of scenery while living in New York. Luke regularly competed in tournaments from the time he was 12, and after years of training and competing at local, and regional tournaments; he progressed to National tournaments, team events, and ITF competitions around New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific Islands.
This is Luke’s third summer in Southampton, having enjoyed the previous two summers, he is eager to begin his third. Luke regularly runs weekday clinics, many lessons at the club, as well as traveling to client’s private courts to perform lessons. For the past two summers, Luke has also maintained a good relationship with the Camp Director, and various Counsellors, running the Southampton Camp tennis for the children that attend.
Lauren, who is originally from Auckland, New Zealand will be joining the Cliff Drysdale team for the 2019 season. Lauren has been studying and playing tennis in the US for two years. In 2017, she received a full scholarship for tennis to the University of Houston, and has since transferred to play for the University of Arkansas, studying Business Management and Marketing. Throughout her junior career, Lauren was a regional and national representative for singles and doubles, being apart of the Fed Cup team that competed in Madrid, Spain in 2016.
Lauren comes from a strong tennis family and with a lot of coaching experience, having coached from the age of 15 in group clinics, kids camps, and as a hitting partner for up and coming juniors and fitness seeking seniors.
