SRCC’s Disney Adventure!

Southampton Racquet Club & Camp’s Counselors are the glue that hold camp together. They are the creative spark on Spirit Day, and the promoters of our STARFISH values program. They are the helping hand at arts and crafts, and the skilled athlete that helps perfect your tennis forehand. But what do these superstars do when not working at camp?

DCP-photoThis Fall and Winter, two of SRCC’s best staff, Katie Kilbane (Senior counselor for the Daisies the last two summers) and Clare Kelly (Stepping Stones Bumble Bee counselor last year) applied and were accepted into the highly recognized Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida. Both Katie & Clare beat thousands of competitive applicants in the process – well done on that alone!

Participants of this incredible residential program get the opportunity to be a part of the Disney magic that is known worldwide (only second to the magic of camp). Participants learn about areas such as attractions, lifeguarding, recreation, merchandising, and entertainment, as well as enjoying all the perks of living at Disney of course.

She had the experience of working in a recreation role focusing on guest relations & retail. As well as working hard, Katie played hard. She visited the Disney Park NO LESS than 25 times! What a great way to spend your Fall semester.

Whilst working at Disney, Clare Kelly is writing a blog.  For anyone interested in following her during Disney adventure, click here for all the latest happenings.

We are very proud of our staff for what they have achieved, and continue to achieve.  We hope you enjoy(ed) your time in Florida, and we look forward to you both returning for summer 2015!
